Hero Future Energies (HFE), the renewable energy arm of the Hero Group, has signed on two-time Olympic medallist and 2019 World Champion PV Sindhu as its brand ambassador, linking her sporting journey with the company’s push into India’s clean energy transition.
Rahul Munjal, Founder and Chairman, Hero Future Energies, said India stands at a pivotal point – with the chance to build an economy that is larger, cleaner, more energy-secure and future-ready. He drew a parallel between sport and clean energy as fields driven by ambition and sustained commitment, noting that while Sindhu has shaped India’s sporting story, HFE is building the energy foundation for the country’s next phase of growth. He added that the partnership will help celebrate and contribute to the India both are working to build.
PV Sindhu said she has seen what India can achieve globally and believes the country is only getting started, with clean energy set to play a central role in powering its growth. She said she was proud to partner with HFE and contribute to that journey in her own way.
Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medallist and 2019 World Champion, remains one of India’s most recognised athletes and a strong presence on the global sporting stage.
HFE has operated in India’s renewable energy sector for 14 years, with a current portfolio of 7.7 GWp of renewable energy assets and 2.9 GWh of battery storage capacity across operational and under-development projects. The company is also expanding into Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE), Round-the-Clock (RTC) power, energy storage and green hydrogen.
