Vzy Smart TV Crosses Rs 200 Crore in Sales Within First Year of Launch

Vzy Smart TV, part of the Dish TV Group, has crossed Rs 200 crore in cumulative sales within its first year, the company said, marking a key milestone in the group’s push into connected entertainment.

Launched as part of Dish TV Group’s shift beyond traditional DTH, Vzy TVs combine live television, OTT streaming and ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) content within a single interface, eliminating the need for a separate set-top box. The brand is distributed through Dish TV Group’s network and retail partners across metros as well as Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with select models offering content benefits worth up to Rs 30,000.

Manoj Dobhal, CEO & Executive Director, Dish TV India, called the milestone a reflection of growing consumer demand for connected entertainment, with viewers increasingly seeking convenience and flexible access to content across formats. He said Vzy’s progress strengthens the group’s push to build new revenue streams alongside its core DTH business, positioning it as an early step toward transforming Dish TV Group into a broader connected entertainment company.

Sukhpreet Singh, Chief Revenue Officer, Dish TV India, said live TV and streaming are increasingly converging into a single viewing journey, and that Vzy brings live channels, OTT apps, AVOD content and content discovery together in one experience. He described the Rs 200 crore milestone as a strong signal of consumer acceptance, laying the groundwork for expanding the Vzy proposition further.

The company attributed the growth to rising Smart TV adoption and demand for integrated entertainment platforms that unify live and streaming content.
