Škoda India has unveiled a refreshed Slavia alongside a new campaign, “Says It All,” built around a quiet, character-led film rather than a conventional product showcase.
The ad opens on a deserted Škoda showroom, where a woman wanders in alone, slips behind the wheel of the Slavia without ceremony, and drives off. As she settles into the drive, the film cuts to close-ups of the car’s design and features, letting the visuals carry the messaging instead of a hard sell. Casting a woman as the lead and weaving her naturally into the narrative gives the spot a distinct, understated feel – even if the pacing runs a touch long, the score keeps things engaging throughout.
The film dropped on August 18, timed to the Slavia’s relaunch, and was unveiled at an event that also saw Škoda reveal a diesel variant of the Superb and the Octavia RS.
Speaking at the launch, brand director Ashish Gupta reinforced the company’s continued bet on sedans, noting that the Slavia commands roughly 30% of its segment and remains central to that push. He pointed to the brand’s expanding footprint, with dealership network coverage now reaching a large majority of its addressable market, and highlighted that a significant share of recent sales is now coming from tier 2 and tier 3 markets – underscoring Škoda’s broader push beyond metro strongholds as it works to deepen trust and relevance in a fast-changing auto landscape.
