VETO, India’s subscription-free OTT platform, has secured exclusive OTT streaming rights for the Davis Cup 2026 in India, bringing live coverage to households without a subscription.
The deal marks VETO’s entry into live sports and reflects changing expectations from digital platforms. Audiences increasingly seek services that combine on-demand entertainment with live events capable of creating shared viewing moments and repeat engagement.
Alongside news, movies, music, entertainment, devotional and children’s programming, the platform is adding sports to build a broader everyday viewing destination for families.
The tournament arrives as India competes for a place in the Davis Cup Final 8, adding significance for local tennis fans. VETO will stream the decisive stages live, allowing viewers to follow the action without a paid plan.
Ritu Dhawan, managing director, VETO, described the Davis Cup as the World Cup of Tennis and called the rights acquisition a major milestone for the platform. She said India’s potential Final 8 qualification gives fans reason to believe and emphasised that every cheer matters.
By removing the subscription barrier, VETO aims to bring families together on large screens to support Team India. The partnership also supports the company’s ambition to make live sport a core pillar of its offering.
