BIRKENSTOCK has marked its entry into the personal care category in India with an exclusive preview of Care Essentials in Mumbai. The showcase, held at IFBE, Fort, a century-old ice factory reimagined as a design and art space, also presented the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection and the latest 1774 Collection. The venue’s mix of heritage and reinvention echoed the brand’s own approach to craftsmanship.
Care Essentials extends BIRKENSTOCK’s orthopedic expertise from the footbed into care. The collection is vegan, COSMOS Natural certified and made in Germany. Available globally for two years, it arrives in India this October. The range covers foot care, including the Exfoliating Foot Scrub, Nourishing Foot Balm, Comforting Dry Oil and Smoothing Pumice Stone, along with body care products such as the Relaxing Hand & Body Wash and Lotion.
The AW26 collection brings innovations, archive revivals and reinterpretations of classics. Animal prints add a playful note, while metallics and high shine finishes bring festive sparkle. The ARIZONA, MADRID and GIZEH feature high shine leather, oversized buckles and fine straps in pearl white, taupe and copper. The BOSTON leans into vintage looks and an outdoor edit, with new arrivals in EVA and synthetics.
The 1774 Collection spotlighted two recent collaborations. BIRKENSTOCK x ETRO reimagines the BOSTON and GIZEH with paisley motifs, embroidery, long fringe and Western-inspired buckles in taupe and chocolate. BIRKENSTOCK x ADERERROR, the brand’s second project with the Seoul-based label, presents the Boston Cap and Boston Flap with signature zigzag embroidery.
