McDonald’s India Turns Up the Festive Heat With Its New Spicy Patakha Range

McDonald’s India (West & South), operated by Westlife Foodworld Ltd., has launched the Spicy Patakha Range for the festive season, featuring the Spicy Patakha Paneer Burger and the Spicy Patakha Chicken Burger. Both combine smoky, spicy flavours with makhani-inspired notes, layered with a smoky sauce and served in soft, toasted buns. The paneer burger has a spiced paneer patty, while the chicken burger features a spicy chicken patty.

The launch builds on the brand’s “Let’s Family at McD” platform, which celebrates how McDonald’s brings families together, from festive outings to shopping breaks. Akshay Jatia, CEO, Westlife Foodworld Ltd., said the festive season is when consumers look for flavours that feel familiar, indulgent and festive, and that the range reflects the brand’s focus on menu innovation rooted in Indian tastes.

The integrated campaign, conceptualized by McCann India, part of Omnicom Advertising India, is built on the insight that festive joy begins long before the celebrations. The films spotlight the preparations, from decorating homes to shopping, such as cousins pausing for a burger break or a couple finding joy amid a hectic shopping trip. The idea is captured in the line “Tyohaar ki Taiyaari Mein Thodi Mazedaari.”

The range continues the brand’s nearly three-decade journey of India-specific innovation, which includes the McAloo Tikki, Maharaja Mac and the McSpicy range. The Spicy Patakha Range is available across restaurants in West and South India from 11 October 2026 for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, while stocks last, with prices starting at ₹199, exclusive of taxes.
