Shiprocket Quick, Shiprocket’s on-demand hyperlocal delivery service, has released a new brand film featuring actor Manoj Pahwa. Titled ‘Toh Pehle Bata Deta’, it focuses on the uncertainty businesses face while waiting for local pickups, and on how delivery delays can cause people to miss important moments.
Pahwa plays an electronics shop owner whose daughter is getting married. As the wedding moves from the baraat to the phere and vidai, he stays distracted by a customer’s parcel waiting outside his shop. He keeps waiting for the courier rider and misses parts of the celebrations. Things change when a wedding planner needs to send a box of sweets and books. A Shiprocket Quick rider is assigned and arrives soon after, prompting Pahwa to say, “Toh pehle bata deta!” The film closes with the line, “Jhat se assign, phat se pick, local delivery with Shiprocket Quick.”
Kautilya, SVP and Head of Growth and Marketing at Shiprocket, said delivery delays can disrupt a seller’s entire day, and the film uses humour to bring that insight alive. Ira G, CCO, Toaster INSEA, said the wedding setting and Pahwa take the chaos of a delayed delivery to an entertaining extreme.
The campaign is rolling out across digital and social platforms ahead of the festive season. Shiprocket Quick will also run on-ground activities across wholesale markets in Delhi NCR, in partnership with local trader communities.
