The Earthshot Prize has expanded its communications partnership with The PRactice Group in India, appointing ON PURPOSE as its creator engagement partner ahead of the 2026 Mumbai Awards. The PRactice, which was appointed as strategic communications partner in December 2025, will now work with ON PURPOSE across media, content and creator engagement.
Founded by Prince William in 2020, The Earthshot Prize will hold its 2026 programme in Mumbai on November 16 and 17, culminating in the sixth annual Awards Night on November 17. Five winners will each receive £1 million to scale their environmental solutions. The 2026 cohort includes 15 finalists across five categories: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate. India has seven finalists, including four winners, the highest for any country.
Girish Balachandran, Group CEO, The PRactice Group, said the Prize shifts the climate conversation from the scale of the challenge to the people and solutions showing what is possible. He added that the engagement combines the complementary strengths of The PRactice and ON PURPOSE. Joanna Swift, executive director of communications, The Earthshot Prize, called The PRactice a formidable partner and said the extended partnership will help bring finalists’ stories to new audiences.
The Awards Night will bring together environmental leaders, innovators, businesses, investors and philanthropists. Sachin Tendulkar, Alia Bhatt, Rami Malek, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonam Kapoor and Simone Ashley are expected to attend, alongside host Karan Johar and Earthshot Ambassadors Robert Irwin and Nomzamo Mbatha.
