KitKat has launched a new festive campaign, conceptualised by VML India, that celebrates the small mishaps and surprises that come with the season. The film captures last-minute preparations and unexpected setbacks, showing how celebrations rarely go exactly as planned.
The campaign builds on KitKat’s well-known “break” proposition and places it in everyday festive situations. Rather than focusing only on big, joyful moments, it highlights the relatable, slightly chaotic ones that make festivals feel real. Gopichandar J, director – Confectionery, Nestlé India, said the little things that go wrong are part of the experience too, and a quick pause can lighten the festive mood.
Varun Sethuraman, head of Marketing Communications, Nestlé India, said meaningful brands stay connected to the realities of consumers’ lives. He noted that while festive advertising often celebrates big moments, it is the small, unexpected ones that make occasions relatable. Kunal Roy, managing partner, West & Growth, VML India, called the film a fun reminder to take a break amid the festive frenzy.
Rohan Kumar, executive creative director, VML India, said that no matter how well festivals are planned, something is always waiting to interrupt the vibe. The idea was to capture those moments when plans go slightly sideways and show that sometimes a break is all it takes to bring the mood back. The campaign is live across YouTube and Meta.
