Mantra Properties has named Ranbir Kapoor the face of its brand through a prequel film created by Alchemist and directed by Manish Porwal, Managing Director, Alchemist Group. Instead of the actor vouching for the developer, the film flips the format: Ranbir does the asking, while Mantra MD Rohit Gupta, playing himself, makes the case for the brand.

Released on Mantra’s YouTube channel on October 22, the film sees Gupta face one disarming question: why should Ranbir put his name to Mantra? The answer unfolds as a candid conversation about vision and belief. The campaign line, ‘Mantra. Making Brilliance.’, ties Ranbir’s and Mantra’s journeys together, presenting brilliance as something built patiently over time.
Porwal said the real question is not whether a developer can afford a star, but whether it can afford to launch without momentum. He argued the association, spread across projects, is a sound investment against inventory value, returning the sales velocity that often goes missing in challenging markets. Payal Mukherjee, Pune Head and Deputy Managing Consultant, Alchemist Marketing Solutions, added that scrolling audiences give brands only a few seconds, so the work must be worth watching.
The film is the opening chapter of a larger campaign timed ahead of Mantra’s upcoming launches. Rishi Raj Sethi, Marketing and Pre-Sales Head, Mantra Properties, said it builds lasting trust by letting buyers hear the story from the person who shaped it.
