Advertising Club Calcutta Inducts Prasoon Pandey into Its Hall of Fame

The Advertising Club Calcutta has honoured acclaimed advertising filmmaker and Padma Shri recipient Prasoon Pandey with its prestigious Hall of Fame Award, recognising his decades-long contribution to Indian advertising and filmmaking.

Pandey joins an distinguished roster of past recipients that includes Prasoon Joshi, Piyush Pandey, Agnello Dias, and Josy Paul – names synonymous with shaping the creative conscience of Indian advertising.

The ceremony, held in Kolkata, was attended by prominent figures from the advertising, media, and creative industries. The evening also featured a performance by actor and dancer Jaya Seal Ghosh and was hosted by Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee.

Beyond the Hall of Fame honour, the club expanded its fraternity by conferring life membership on four distinguished personalities: actor Barun Chanda, wildlife photographer Dhritiman Mukherjee, and music composers Debojyoti Mishra and Prabuddha Banerjee – reflecting the club’s commitment to celebrating creative excellence across disciplines.

Kanchan Datta, President of the Advertising Club Calcutta, captured the spirit of the evening: “We are privileged to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Prasoon Pandey, whose vision has profoundly redefined Indian advertising filmmaking. We are equally delighted to expand our fraternity by welcoming four stellar individuals from diverse creative fields into our Life Membership fold.”

Founded in 1953, the Advertising Club Calcutta stands as one of India’s oldest and most respected advertising industry bodies, continuing its legacy of recognising and nurturing creative talent across generations.
