Amazon Launches Bee: The Wearable AI Companion at CES 2026

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Amazon unveiled Bee, its latest wearable AI companion, marking a significant expansion of the company’s AI ecosystem beyond home devices. Designed as a clip-on pin or bracelet, Bee is capable of recording conversations, including meetings, lectures, and interviews, while offering personalized AI assistance to users on the go.

The device integrates seamlessly with services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Apple Health, and phone contacts, while complementing Amazon’s existing Alexa+ ecosystem. Bee aims to provide continuity of AI support outside the home, functioning as a versatile companion for students, professionals, and elderly users. By building a knowledge graph from recorded interactions, Bee can summarize activities, track patterns, and manage commitments efficiently. To protect privacy, audio is discarded after transcription, ensuring that recordings are used only for actionable insights.

Although Bee currently operates independently of Alexa, Amazon plans gradual integration, allowing for combined indoor and outdoor AI experiences. Daniel Rausch, VP of Amazon Alexa, noted that this integration could further enhance user interactions and convenience.

Developed by an eight-person team in San Francisco, Bee’s roadmap includes features such as voice notes, templates, and daily insights, with additional updates expected throughout 2026. By combining AI-powered assistance with portability, Bee is positioned as a next-generation companion for productivity, learning, and daily life, reflecting Amazon’s continued push to embed intelligent technology seamlessly into users’ routines.
