Britannia has entered the Instagram microdrama space with its first short-form series for Cake Fudge It Brownie. Created with Tilt Brand Solutions, the campaign targets Gen Z and rests on a simple idea: when small things go wrong, laugh them off instead of letting them ruin your day.
The episodes turn familiar moments of social awkwardness into comedy with unexpected twists. One features an acting opportunity that shrinks to a few seconds on screen. Another shows an influencer accidentally criticising the very product they are promoting. A third has someone liking an ex’s post while browsing their profile. Each situation feels like a disaster in the moment, and the brownie is positioned as the break that helps viewers pause, take a bite and move on.
Puneet Das, Chief Marketing Officer, Britannia, said the format gave the brand a relatable way to show how small moments can turn dramatic. He described Fudge It Brownie as an attitude as much as a treat. Adarsh Atal, Chief Creative Officer, Tilt Brand Solutions, said the thinking is built into the brand name itself. He added that the format offered a fresh canvas for relatable characters, sharp twists and a healthy dose of absurdity.
The series is live on Britannia Cakes’ official Instagram account, with more episodes planned. It is the first time Cake Fudge It Brownie has used the microdrama format, with short, character-driven stories carrying the brand message.
