Chinese Wok Launches WokVerse, a QR-Based AR Engagement Platform

Chinese Wok has launched WokVerse, an engagement platform that combines augmented reality (AR), gaming and interactive experiences designed to keep customers entertained during their wait time at outlets. Accessible via QR codes across Chinese Wok restaurants, WokVerse features a virtual chef, branded games, music and cricket-themed interactive content, turning idle waiting moments into an engaging digital experience.

The platform is primarily aimed at Gen Z and millennial consumers and will be periodically updated with new experiences to keep the offering fresh and relevant over time.

Vikas Iyer, head of marketing, Lenexis Foodworks, said the future of QSR growth will be shaped not just by food, but by how brands make consumers feel and engage them throughout their experience. He described WokVerse as the brand’s response to that shift, transforming a typically passive waiting period into an immersive opportunity built around technology, gaming and entertainment.

He added that as a category leader, the brand views this as a strategic investment in deepening consumer affinity and building a differentiated brand ecosystem that extends beyond the restaurant itself. Iyer noted that WokVerse has been conceived as a long-term platform, designed to evolve alongside shifting consumer culture and keep the brand connected with the next generation of diners.

By blending F&B with gamified digital experiences, Chinese Wok joins a growing list of QSR brands using technology to reimagine customer engagement beyond the plate.
