Coca-Cola India Participates in Ratha Yatra 2025 with Cultural, Community, and Sustainability Initiatives

The company will offer beverages, themed packaging, local vendor partnerships, and a PET bottle-free campaign during the Puri celebration.

Coca-Cola India has announced its participation in the upcoming Ratha Yatra 2025 in Puri, Odisha, scheduled from June 27 to July 5. As part of its continued engagement with major cultural events, the brand will drive awareness and access through a mix of on-ground activations, themed product offerings, community partnerships, and sustainability programs.

Building on its previous efforts at the Maha Kumbh, Coca-Cola India will distribute a wide range of its beverage portfolio-including Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Sprite, Fanta, Maaza, Limca, Limca Glucocharge, Charged, and Kinley-across high-footfall areas throughout the yatra. In a cultural tribute to Odisha, Kinley bottles will be released in limited-edition packaging featuring Ratha Yatra-themed designs.

Vinay Nair, Vice President, Franchise Operations, Developing Markets, Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, said:
“Ratha Yatra is among Odisha’s most revered cultural celebrations, known for its scale and spirit of togetherness. At Coca-Cola India, we aim to keep people refreshed throughout the journey by ensuring availability of our beverages across all major touchpoints. Through this initiative, we are not only delivering hydration but also building deeper community engagement and promoting sustainability.”

To ensure affordability and reach, Coca-Cola India will offer specially priced packs during the festival and execute out-of-home (OOH) branding across key temple routes, markets, highways, transit locations, and beach areas. Hydration carts operated by local vendors and micro-entrepreneurs will provide chilled drinks, enabling economic support at the grassroots level.

In line with its sustainability commitments, Coca-Cola India-along with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), Anandana (Coca-Cola India Foundation), and in partnership with Puri Municipality, District Administration (Puri), the Odisha Development Management Programme (ODMP), and the Y4D Foundation-has launched the ‘Used PET Bottle-Free Ratha Yatra 2025’ initiative.

This initiative, part of the broader Maidan Saaf campaign, aims to minimise plastic waste during the festival. It will involve:

  • Over 180 trained volunteers
  • 200 PET bottle collection bins across the city
  • Beach clean-upsplogging drives, and public engagement activities to promote awareness and recycling habits

With its integrated presence at Ratha Yatra 2025, Coca-Cola India seeks to blend brand purpose with cultural relevance-supporting hydration, community livelihoods, and environmental responsibility during one of India’s most iconic festivals.
