Compass Communications has been appointed as the communications partner for Foundation for Culture, Arts and Literature (FOCAL), marking a new collaboration aimed at amplifying the organisation’s cultural initiatives.
As part of the engagement, the agency supported the Dibrugarh University International Literature Festival (DUILF), organised by FOCAL in partnership with Dibrugarh University. The festival recently concluded its third edition, bringing together writers, thinkers and cultural voices from across the world.
The four-day literary festival featured more than 150 writers, poets and speakers from 25 countries, highlighting global literary dialogue while strengthening cultural engagement in Northeast India. Notable participants included Ann Morgan, Maria Reimondez, acclaimed filmmaker Jahnu Barua, former Indian Army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane, and former foreign secretary Krishnan Srinivasan.
Organisers reported that the event attracted around 12,000 attendees, underscoring its growing influence as a cultural platform in the region.
Rahul Jain, curator and chief coordinator of DUILF, noted that the festival has evolved into an important space that brings global literary conversations to the Northeast, particularly benefiting young readers and students.
Commenting on the partnership, Rohan Srinivasan, co-founder of Compass Communications, said the festival plays a significant role in placing Northeast India on the global literary map, and the agency looks forward to supporting FOCAL’s upcoming initiatives and events.
Founded by Rohan Srinivasan and Rafi Q Khan, Compass Communications works with clients across sectors such as BFSI, automotive, technology, education, luxury, real estate and healthcare, and has previously supported events like Red FM’s Rider’s Music Festival, South Side Story, and the Udaipur Tales literature festival.
