Mumbai-based sports tech giant Dream Sports has announced a $50 million (approx. ₹427 crore) investment in cricket media platform Cricbuzz and North American broadcaster Willow TV, both owned by Times Internet. The deal gives Dream Sports a strategic minority stake, aiming to enhance fan engagement through technology and innovation.
Cricbuzz and Willow TV collectively reach 185 million monthly users across over 150 countries. Willow TV, the largest cricket broadcaster in North America, streams more than 1,500 live matches annually and has expanded its reach into the Middle East and Southeast Asia. It also holds exclusive ICC broadcasting rights in the US and Canada until 2027.
This partnership marks a new phase in cricket media. The companies plan to deliver real-time analytics, AI-driven predictions, interactive streams, and commerce integration, offering fans deeper engagement and immersive experiences.
“Cricbuzz and Willow are at the heart of how millions follow cricket,” said Satyan Gajwani, Vice Chairman of Times Internet. Harsh Jain, co-founder and CEO of Dream Sports, added, “We’re committed to making sports better for fans. This investment strengthens our long-standing collaboration and will transform fan experiences globally.”
