Company halts real-money operations, signals long-term commitment to responsible gaming and legal alignment.
Gameskraft, a leading player in India’s online gaming ecosystem, has officially announced full compliance with the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which bans all real-money games, whether based on skill or chance. The legislation marks a pivotal shift for the industry, with Gameskraft positioning itself at the forefront of responsible adherence.
A company spokesperson confirmed:
“Following the passage of the new bill, we have discontinued all ‘Gameplay’ and ‘Add Cash’ functionalities across our Rummy platforms as of August 21, 2025-well ahead of the bill’s official notification. However, withdrawal services remain fully operational in line with platform policies. We want to reassure our users that all account balances are safe, and we are working closely with financial partners to ensure a seamless withdrawal process.”
Importantly, the company also clarified that it will not pursue legal action against the bill.
“As a law-abiding organization, we fully respect the legislative process and have no intent to challenge the bill,” the spokesperson added.
Looking ahead, Gameskraft has begun structured internal planning to adapt its strategy to the evolving regulatory landscape.
“Our cross-functional teams are exploring future-ready innovations that align with regulatory expectations while upholding player protection, transparency, and responsible gaming,” the company stated.
Gameskraft also emphasized its commitment to business continuity, working with auditors, banks, and legal advisors to ensure stability. All regulatory dues have been cleared, and stakeholders-employees, vendors, and partners-are being supported through proactive communication.
“Compliance has always been non-negotiable. While this transition presents challenges, it’s also an opportunity to responsibly reimagine the future,” the statement concluded.
