Google has appointed Anuj Gulati as the new head of global growth marketing for its Gemini AI platform, elevating him from his previous role as group marketing manager for developer, growth, and performance. Gulati announced his promotion through a LinkedIn post.
This appointment puts Gulati at the helm of growth strategy for Google’s flagship AI offering as the company intensifies competition in the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence market. His extensive experience within Google positions him well to drive Gemini’s global adoption and market presence.
Gulati’s 13-year tenure at Google includes several leadership positions, beginning in 2012 as a product marketing manager for Android. He subsequently served as APAC retail marketing manager for devices in 2014, senior product marketing manager for developer platforms in 2015, before taking on his most recent role in January 2021.
With over 20 years of marketing and brand management experience, Gulati brings valuable perspective from both within and outside the tech giant. Prior to joining Google, he held positions at Tata Technologies India and The Times of India, giving him a diverse background in technology and media marketing.
This strategic appointment comes as Google continues to enhance Gemini’s capabilities and market position against competing AI platforms from OpenAI, Anthropic, and other major technology companies.
