Human Mobile Devices (HMD) has announced a strategic collaboration with Flipkart to introduce its upcoming 2026 smartphone portfolio to Indian consumers. As part of this partnership, HMD’s first smartphone launch of the year in India will take place on Flipkart, which will serve as a key e-commerce partner alongside the brand’s existing online and offline retail channels.
The collaboration reflects HMD’s continued focus on expanding its footprint in the Indian smartphone market. The company has been strengthening its positioning by emphasising design, durability, and repairability, while also integrating AI-led features across its device portfolio. The upcoming launch marks an important step in HMD’s growth strategy for India.
Through Flipkart’s extensive reach and strong logistics infrastructure, HMD aims to increase the availability of its smartphones across the country, particularly in metro cities as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Leveraging Flipkart’s distribution network and affordability options, the brand intends to make its devices more accessible to a broader base of consumers.
HMD plans to introduce multiple smartphones in the ₹10,000–₹20,000 price segment, targeting consumers looking for affordable yet reliable devices equipped with modern features, including AI capabilities. The first smartphone under this collaboration is expected to be unveiled in the coming months, followed by a phased rollout of additional models over the next two to four months.
Executives from both companies highlighted the partnership as a step toward accelerating smartphone innovation and accessibility in India. By combining HMD’s product innovation with Flipkart’s digital commerce ecosystem, the collaboration aims to strengthen HMD’s growth while delivering enhanced value and convenience to Indian consumers.
