Quick commerce platform Instamart has announced a strategic partnership with Bharat Organics, a farmer-led cooperative brand under the National Cooperative Organic Limited (NCOL), to make certified organic food products more accessible and affordable across Indian cities.
The initiative includes the launch of 21 organic staples on Instamart-ranging from pulses and cereals to spices, oils, and teas. Products like tur dal, rajma, kabuli chana, basmati rice, jaggery powder, organic oils, green tea, and desi ghee will now be available to customers in key metros and tier-1 cities.
This collaboration is aligned with the Government of India’s White Revolution 2.0 vision, which promotes sustainable agriculture, digital access, and farmer empowerment through cooperatives.
Instamart CEO Amitesh Jha highlighted the value this partnership brings: “We’re making it easier for health-conscious consumers to access honest, organic products while also strengthening rural communities through tech-enabled market access.”
Shri Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, noted that the move bridges traditional agriculture with digital India: “This step brings transparency to food sourcing and ensures fair returns for farmers, who remain at the heart of the value chain.”
Vipul Mittal, MD of NCOL, emphasized the importance of this digital expansion: “Swiggy Instamart’s scale makes it the ideal platform to bring Bharat Organics into modern Indian homes. We’re not just delivering groceries-we’re delivering trust.”
A core feature of Bharat Organics is its profit-sharing model, where 50% of profits are returned directly to member farmers, promoting long-term, sustainable agriculture.
