New AI tool allows users to generate personalized images directly in chats across Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.
Meta has introduced a new AI-powered feature called ‘Imagine Me’, now rolling out across Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp in India. Designed to enhance user creativity and self-expression, the feature enables individuals to generate personalized images of themselves simply by messaging Meta AI.
By sending prompts like “imagine me as a 90s rockstar” or “imagine me in a comic book universe”, users can receive custom AI-generated images based on their uploaded setup photos.
To access Imagine Me, users can start a conversation with @Meta AI in both personal and group chats on any of the supported apps. First-time users will be prompted to upload a few setup photos, allowing Meta AI to accurately capture facial features for image generation.
Once photos are submitted, users can tap Generate, or type prompts such as “Imagine me on Mars”, “in a Renaissance painting”, or “wearing futuristic fashion”. Within seconds, Meta AI creates a tailored visual response using its image generation model, powered by the latest Meta Llama technology.
Users retain full control over their uploaded images and preferences. Setup photos can be updated or deleted at any time via Meta AI settings, and the feature can be turned off entirely if desired.
‘Imagine Me’ is part of Meta’s broader push to integrate creative AI tools into everyday digital conversations, offering immersive and playful ways for users to express themselves in real time.
