Motorola India has introduced a new campaign titled “The Signature Surprise,” conceptualised by creative agency Schbang, to promote Motorola Signature-a smartphone positioned as India’s first device offering exclusive Signature Club privileges. The campaign shifts the focus of premium smartphones beyond hardware specifications, presenting the device as a gateway to curated luxury experiences.
Designed for affluent urban consumers, creators, entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders, Motorola Signature targets individuals who prioritise meaningful luxury over conventional status symbols. The brand positions the phone as a lifestyle companion that blends design, innovation, photography, and exclusive experiences.
To bring this idea to life, Motorola staged a theatrical activation at Jio World Drive in Mumbai’s BKC. The installation featured a Motorola Signature representative standing motionless beside the device on display. Behind him, a digital billboard invited visitors to say “Hello Moto” to experience the Signature class.
Curious shoppers gathered around the installation, trying to trigger a reaction. When someone finally spoke the phrase “Hello Moto Signature,” the representative came to life, setting off a sequence of surprise experiences. Additional representatives appeared, inviting guests to sit on a luxury sofa while the moment was filmed and broadcast live on the digital screen.
The activation unfolded into a showcase of the Signature Club’s lifestyle privileges, including live music performances, lost wallet assistance, curated tailoring support, and fine dining experiences. Through these demonstrations, Motorola highlighted how the smartphone connects users to a broader ecosystem of premium services.
According to Motorola India’s marketing leadership, the campaign reflects evolving expectations among India’s affluent consumers. Rather than simply offering advanced features, Motorola Signature aims to deliver an elevated lifestyle experience, positioning the smartphone as a key to exclusive privileges and curated cultural access.
