One Screen to Rule Them All: Dish TV’s VZY Wants to End App-Switching Fatigue

India’s entertainment landscape is fragmented – multiple apps, multiple subscriptions, multiple remotes. Dish TV thinks it has the fix.

The company has launched VZY, a unified entertainment platform that brings together streaming services, live TV, pay-per-view content, and creator-led programming within a single ecosystem. The pitch is straightforward: less time searching, more time watching.

VZY operates across two layers. The VZY Streaming Platform aggregates over 29 streaming applications alongside live TV and digital content through a single interface accessible on mobile and Smart TVs. The VZY Smart TV ecosystem, meanwhile, delivers a QLED 4K experience powered by Google TV, with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support – positioning it firmly in premium territory.

Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director, Dish TV, framed the ambition clearly: India’s entertainment consumer doesn’t want another app – they want an experience that simply works. VZY, he said, is built on that insight, designed to travel seamlessly from phone to living room.

Sukhpreet Singh, Chief Revenue Officer, added that the platform prioritises easier navigation, smarter content discovery, and a stronger bundled value proposition for Indian households.

The launch is being backed by an integrated IPL-season campaign centred on solving app-switching fatigue – a timely hook given how fractured viewing habits have become during cricket season.

For Dish TV, VZY is more than a product launch. It’s a repositioning – from legacy DTH provider to connected entertainment ecosystem built for how India actually watches today.
