POND’S has revived its iconic ‘Googly Woogly Wooksh’ tagline in a new campaign introducing actor Sara Arjun as the brand’s latest ambassador. The nostalgic phrase, which became one of Indian advertising’s most memorable catchphrases, returns with a fresh narrative aimed at connecting with a new generation of skincare consumers.

The campaign promotes POND’S Super Light Gel, a lightweight moisturiser formulated with Pro-Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid and GAP Aminos. Designed to deliver long-lasting hydration without a greasy feel, the product reflects the growing consumer preference for effective yet lightweight skincare solutions.
Created by Ogilvy India, the campaign takes an unconventional route by setting the story inside a boys’ hostel, where skincare becomes an unexpected part of everyday conversations. The film blends humour with nostalgia while introducing Sara Arjun in a contemporary avatar. The campaign will also extend into a series of digital micro-dramas.
Speaking about the campaign, Ogilvy India Chief Creative Officers Kainaz Karmakar and Harshad Rajadhyakshasaid reviving “Googly Woogly Wooksh” was both an honour and a responsibility, adding that the new film offers a modern interpretation of the iconic idea while appealing to younger audiences.
Sunanda Khaitan, Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty & Wellbeing, Hindustan Unilever, said the campaign combines the emotional recall of a beloved advertising line with the science-backed benefits of POND’S Super Light Gel. She added that the brand aims to introduce a new generation to the experience of lightweight, hydrated and healthy-looking skin while celebrating a phrase deeply rooted in India’s pop culture.
