PregaNews has unveiled a new digital film ahead of International Women’s Day to spotlight postpartum realities and encourage open conversations around maternal mental health. The initiative draws attention to an often-overlooked phase of motherhood, highlighting the emotional and physical challenges many women face after childbirth.
According to the campaign, nearly one in five mothers in India experiences postpartum depression. Despite this, many women struggle in silence due to fear of judgment or social expectations that normalise emotional distress and exhaustion as a routine part of motherhood.
The digital film portrays relatable everyday moments that reflect how new mothers’ feelings are frequently dismissed or overlooked. Through sensitive storytelling, the campaign seeks to build awareness and encourage families and communities to create a more empathetic environment where women feel safe discussing their postpartum experiences without hesitation.
The initiative reinforces PregaNews’ broader commitment to supporting women beyond pregnancy detection. By highlighting maternal mental health, the brand aims to expand conversations around motherhood to include emotional wellbeing alongside physical health.
Commenting on the campaign, Joy Chatterjee said that motherhood is a deeply personal journey and women deserve empathy and understanding during this transformative phase. He added that the campaign is intended to spark meaningful dialogue around postpartum experiences and help women feel heard and supported.
The film has been conceptualised and executed by SG Dream Media, led by Shweta Bhuchar and Gaurav Bhardwaj.
With this Women’s Day initiative, PregaNews continues to position itself as a partner in women’s health conversations beyond pregnancy milestones.
