Prime Video has announced its upcoming Prime Original film ‘Mess’, marking the second collaboration with Hrithik Roshan’s HRX Films after the previously announced thriller series Storm. The film will be produced by Hrithik Roshan and Eshaan Roshan under HRX Films (a division of FilmKraft Productions), in association with Rajesh A Krishnan’s Soda Films Lab.
Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, Mess is a comedy built around an unusual and engaging premise. The story follows a group of robbers who break into the house of a man with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). What begins as a typical heist quickly turns into a chaotic night-long standoff, where the robbers realise they may not be in control of the situation after all.
The original screenplay has been written by Paul Soter, with the adapted screenplay and dialogues by Kapil Sawant. The film blends humour with tension, aiming to deliver an unconventional narrative that keeps audiences entertained throughout.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, noted that Mess stands out for its surprising storyline and engaging characters. He added that the continued collaboration with HRX Films reflects a shared vision for bold and original storytelling.
Hrithik Roshan described the project as a natural extension of the partnership with Prime Video, highlighting the team’s focus on exploring fresh narratives that push genre boundaries. Director Rajesh A Krishnan also emphasised the film’s unique mix of comedy and chaos, calling it a creatively fulfilling experience.
With production set to begin soon, Mess is positioned as a distinctive addition to Prime Video’s growing slate of original content.
