Prime Video offered an early preview of its 2026 Asian content slate at the inaugural Prime Video Presents: International Originals, underlining its growing focus on globally resonant stories from Japan, Korea, and India. The showcase was unveiled by Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, APAC & ANZ, Prime Video, and reinforced the platform’s long-term commitment to premium international storytelling.
Held in London, the global event was introduced by Kelly Day, VP, Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios International, and hosted by Nicole Clemens, VP, International Originals. It featured select highlights from the broader Asia-Pacific slate, with full line-ups to be announced in the coming months.
Anime emerged as a major focus area, with Prime Video positioning itself as a key destination for the genre. The platform previewed marquee titles including Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken, The Ghost in the Shell, and From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Season 2, reflecting anime’s continued global growth and cross-generational appeal.
Korean content remains a strong driver of international viewership, with romance-led and genre-blending narratives at the forefront. Upcoming titles such as Absolute Value of Romance, Human x Gumiho, Siren’s Kiss, and Love in Disguise highlight Prime Video’s deepening partnerships with leading Korean studios and talent.
India also featured prominently with a special preview of Don’t Be Shy, a young-adult, female-forward coming-of-age drama written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions.
Together, the showcase underscored Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios’ belief that locally rooted Asian stories, when told authentically, can travel powerfully across borders and cultures.
