Global pop sensation Rihanna is officially bringing her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty, to India. The much-awaited debut is set for August 7, with products launching exclusively on Tira and Sephora.
The announcement was made through an Instagram reel posted by Rihanna, featuring a Mumbai-style black-and-yellow taxi with “FB ❤️ INDIA” painted on the back-an eye-catching nod to Indian fans. Despite having no official retail presence in the country until now, Fenty Beauty has developed a cult following among Indian consumers through overseas sellers and Nykaa’s cross-border platform, which offered limited access to select SKUs.
Fenty Beauty’s India entry has been widely anticipated, especially after Rihanna’s high-profile appearance at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations in 2023. The move fueled speculation about a possible tie-up with Reliance, which now materializes through Tira, the multi-brand beauty retail platform from Reliance Retail, led by Isha Ambani.
Often compared to Nykaa, Tira has rapidly expanded across both online and offline channels, introducing Indian customers to premium global beauty labels. Its partnership with Fenty Beauty signals a major addition to its growing portfolio.
Known for its inclusive shade ranges, innovative formulations, and bold marketing, Fenty Beauty’s India debut is poised to be one of the biggest beauty events of the year. Sephora India will also host the launch, though further details regarding campaign plans or pricing have not yet been disclosed.
With this launch, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty aims to redefine inclusivity and accessibility in India’s evolving beauty market.
