Classic, Bullet, Meteor, and Hunter 350 to become more affordable starting September 22
Royal Enfield has announced significant price cuts across its entire 350cc motorcycle lineup, reducing prices by up to ₹22,000. The move comes in response to the Central Government’s recent decision to slash GST on two-wheelers up to 350cc from 28% to 18%.
The price drop, effective from September 22, will make Royal Enfield’s most popular models – including the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350, and Hunter 350 – more accessible to customers ahead of the festive season.
In a statement, Royal Enfield confirmed that the GST benefit will extend beyond its motorcycle portfolio to include services, apparel, and accessories, offering a more affordable ownership and lifestyle experience for enthusiasts.
This price revision is part of Royal Enfield’s broader strategy to stay competitive as other two-wheeler brands also pass on the tax savings to customers. Bajaj Auto has announced price cuts of up to ₹20,000 on select models, TVS Motor has reduced prices by as much as ₹21,718, and Hero MotoCorp is offering benefits up to ₹15,743.
The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has directed automakers to display posters at dealerships highlighting old vs. new prices after the GST reduction, featuring photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Government officials have emphasized that cheaper two-wheelers will directly benefit farmers, gig workers, small traders, and daily wage earners, lowering EMI burdens and making vehicle ownership more affordable.
While GST on electric vehicles remains unchanged at 5%, most auto components now fall under the 18% slab, signaling a broader effort to stimulate growth across the automobile sector.
With this price cut, Royal Enfield aims to drive demand, boost market share, and make its iconic motorcycles more accessible to India’s growing base of riders.
