The Hindu has unveiled a powerful new brand campaign titled ‘Written by Journalists’, developed in collaboration with Talented, reaffirming its 147-year tradition of responsible, credible journalism. The campaign underscores a simple yet powerful message – real news is written by journalists.
Through four thought-provoking ad films, the campaign asks, “Who writes the news you read, hear, and breathe?” – prompting audiences to reflect on the credibility of their news sources. In an era where misinformation spreads rapidly and sensationalism often overshadows truth, The Hindu stands apart for its unwavering editorial integrity and commitment to facts.
Since its founding in 1878, The Hindu has upheld the principles of accuracy, accountability, and respect for readers. The new campaign pays tribute to this legacy, emphasizing that fact-checking, thoughtful editing, and rigorous reporting remain at the core of its practice.
L.V. Navaneeth, CEO, The Hindu Group, said:
“Our readers trust us to separate fact from noise. In a world where content is everywhere but credibility is rare, ‘Written by Journalists’ isn’t just a campaign – it’s our truth.”
The initiative launched with the ‘Find The Story’ print ad and ad films like ‘Who writes the news you hear?’ and ‘Who writes the news you read?’, highlighting accuracy over attention and depth over speed. The campaign extends across print, digital, OOH, and radio, reinforcing The Hindu’s enduring commitment to quality journalism.
P.G. Aditiya, Co-founder and CCO, Talented, added:
“The Hindu respects its readers by hiring quality writers. It continues to protect the craft of journalism – not just as a profession, but as a passion.”
In an age where everyone has a platform, The Hindu reminds audiences that few still have a newsroom dedicated to truth and integrity.
