Uppercase: Revolutionizing Sustainable Travel Gear in India

Uppercase: Revolutionizing Sustainable Travel Gear in India

Founded in 2021 by Sudip Ghose, a seasoned industry expert, Uppercase has quickly made its mark in India’s consumer goods space with a focus on sustainable travel gear. Operating under Acefour Accessories, the brand offers eco-conscious luggage including backpacks, trolleys, duffels, and office bags—all made in India with recycled materials.

Uppercase’s mission is to combine sustainability with style—meeting the needs of modern travelers who care about both performance and the planet.

The company recently launched India’s first sustainable school backpacks, crafted from recycled plastic bottles. This initiative underscores Uppercase’s broader commitment to reducing environmental impact while delivering high-quality products.

Expansion and Growth

In just a few years, Uppercase has seen rapid growth. In FY24, revenue surged to ₹62.2 crore, up from ₹10.7 crore in FY23. Their products are now available at over 1,600 retail points, with plans to expand to 2,500 by 2026.

The retail journey at Uppercase continues. In April, they added two new exclusive brand outlets (EBOs), bringing the total to 19 across India.

  1. Wayanad, Kerala
  2. Mall of Asia, Bangalore

This physical expansion complements the brand’s digital presence, strengthening its omnichannel strategy.

Innovation and Recognition

Uppercase’s Bullet hard luggage earned the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, making it the first Indian luggage brand in 69 years to achieve this. It reflects the brand’s focus on design excellence and user-centric innovation.

With a vision to hit ₹250 crore in revenue by FY26, Uppercase is firmly positioned to lead India’s sustainable consumer goods and travel gear market.
