VETO, a subscription-free OTT platform, has acquired the exclusive OTT streaming rights for the Billie Jean King Cup 2026 in India. The acquisition follows closely on the heels of the platform securing exclusive OTT rights for the Davis Cup 2026, giving VETO streaming rights to two major international team tennis competitions.
The Billie Jean King Cup Finals will be held in Shenzhen, China, from September 22 to 27, featuring eight nations in a knockout-stage format. Defending champions Italy will look to secure a third consecutive title.
India hosted the Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania Group I stage earlier this year at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association Stadium from April 7 to 11, where the country finished third in a six-nation group and retained its Group I status heading into 2027.
Since its launch in September 2025, VETO says it has scaled to more than 60 live TV channels and expanded into web series, with content spanning 12 languages and over 10 genres. Sports has become an increasingly central part of the platform’s content strategy, alongside news, entertainment, films, music, devotional and children’s programming.
Ritu Dhawan, managing director of VETO, said the platform has focused on building a differentiated, subscription-free destination for Indian audiences, and that in under a year it has grown its channel count, entered originals, and broadened its language and genre footprint. She added that securing both the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup underscores VETO’s long-term commitment to establishing live sports as a core pillar of its offering.
