WinZO Launches Global Short Drama Championship to Elevate Indian Storytelling

The initiative supports microdrama creators with production deals, sponsorships, and access to a global audience.

WinZO, India’s leading interactive entertainment platform with a user base of over 250 million, has announced the launch of the WinZO Short Drama Championship-the world’s first global competition exclusively for microdrama creators. The initiative aims to empower storytellers by providing them with an international stage and a global audience, while ushering in a new era of mobile-first storytelling.

Winners of the championship will receive full production sponsorships, long-term original content partnerships for WinZO TV-the company’s newly launched microdrama platform-and opportunities for content monetization. Alongside financial backing, creators will gain visibility at major events and access to WinZO’s expansive, multilingual user base.

Submissions will be judged on originality and narrative strength, with final winners determined through audience engagement metrics, ensuring both creative and commercial appeal.

Paavan Nanda, Co-Founder, WinZO, shared:
“India’s cultural capital is one of its strongest exports. Just as we democratized gaming, we now want to unlock the same scale in storytelling. India has the talent and creativity to lead the global microdrama revolution, and WinZO will provide the tools, stage, and audience to make that happen.”

Founded in 2018, WinZO has evolved into a hub for interactive entertainment, hosting 100+ games and serving users across India, Brazil, and the US. The launch of WinZO TV on August 24, 2025, marks the company’s expansion into original content and storytelling.
