After telling over 6,500 powerful stories and building a 7 million+ strong community, Humans of Bombay (HOB) is entering a new chapter-as a full-stack digital media company.
Founded on the belief that real, human stories can change the world, HOB is now setting its sights on building original IPs, immersive formats, and strategic partnerships aimed at shaping the narrative of a new India.
Karishma Mehta, Founder and CEO of Humans of Bombay, shared,
“Stories change people. And people change the world. We’re building storytelling ecosystems- formats and IPs designed to inspire, influence, and push India forward.”
To lead this transformation, Amit Sobti has joined as President. With 20 years of experience, including a 12-year stint at Fork Media, Sobti will spearhead operations, revenue, and partnerships.
“This move just felt right,” said Sobti. “HOB is different. It’s honest. It’s human. And in a world full of noise, that really matters. I’m excited to help shape what comes next—thoughtfully, and with purpose.”
Joining the leadership team is Jasleen Kaur Gupta as Vice President, Creatives and Delivery. Previously with Myntra, 120 Media Collective, and Fork Media, she brings a decade of experience in creative leadership.
“I’ve long admired HOB’s storytelling,” said Gupta. “Now, I get to build with the same purpose—bigger, bolder, and more disruptive.”
With this evolution, HOB is focused on scaling culture-driven storytelling for brands and audiences. The company also plans to double its team size to support its long-term vision.
Karishma Mehta added,
“We’ll always stand for real, empathy-led stories-but now, we’re expanding that into culture, influence, and meaningful impact at scale.”
