Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has entered the micro-drama space with 2nd Gen Kumars, an eight-episode series on Instagram that weaves its consumer businesses into the everyday realities of contemporary Indian family life.

Featuring Shreya Gupto, Naman Arora, Rushad Rana and Ekavali Khanna, among others, the story follows 30-year-old Tara as she returns from Hong Kong to Mumbai and welcomes her cousins into her new home. What begins as a housewarming celebration soon brings childhood memories, sibling comparisons, unresolved differences and difficult choices to the surface.

Each episode runs for approximately two minutes, capturing the complexities of family relationships as its characters navigate adulthood, individual aspirations and changing bonds.

The home serves as more than a setting, with products from GEG’s consumer businesses integrated into the narrative. Digital locks welcome visitors, furniture creates spaces for family interactions, home lockers feature in conversations about security, and appliances accompany everyday household routines.

The series brings together the group’s digital locks, home lockers, Interio by Godrej furniture and appliances in a single content format for the first time.

Sumeet Bhojani, head of brand and strategic insights at Godrej Enterprises Group, said the initiative aims to tell contemporary stories about how Indians share spaces, manage relationships and redefine the idea of home. He added that micro-drama offers an opportunity to connect with younger audiences through relatable, mobile-first entertainment.

Created and produced by Bonfire Collective, 2nd Gen Kumars marks a new chapter in GEG’s consumer storytelling, extending its presence in Indian homes into the digital entertainment space.
