Yakult Appoints Taapsee Pannu as Brand Ambassador to Promote Gut Health in India

Yakult Danone India, a joint venture between Japan’s Yakult Honsha and France’s Groupe Danone, has appointed Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu as its new brand ambassador. This move is aimed at deepening consumer engagement and raising awareness about the benefits of probiotics.

Taapsee Pannu, sharing her thoughts on the association, said,
“I’m really happy to be part of Yakult’s journey in promoting good gut health. My family, especially my mom, has been enjoying Yakult for years. I believe good health starts in the gut, and Yakult makes it easy and tasty to include that habit in our daily lives. I’m excited to help spread this message to people across India.”

Eiji Amano, Managing Director, Yakult Danone India, highlighted the brand’s journey and future goals:
“From a niche category in 2008, India has become a fast-growing market for Yakult. Our goal is to maintain double-digit growth every year until 2030, reaching more families with our scientifically backed probiotic drink.”

Dr. Neerja Hajela, CSO – Science & Regulatory Affairs, elaborated on Yakult’s scientific foundation:
