FUJIFILM India has unveiled the latest film in its Stories of MORE SMILES series, highlighting how diagnostic technology is helping bridge healthcare gaps in some of India’s most remote terrains. Set in the high-altitude villages of Spiti Valley, including Key Monastery and Langza, the film follows a mobile healthcare camp operated by the Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation and supported by FUJIFILM India’s Care on Wheels initiative.

The narrative centres on a healthcare worker travelling across rugged landscapes to deliver basic screenings and diagnostic tests to communities far from formal medical infrastructure. The foundation notes that such camps have already reached more than 15,000 people across Himachal Pradesh, demonstrating the growing need for accessible medical support in isolated regions.
Speaking about the initiative, Koji Wada, managing director, FUJIFILM India, said the film reflects the company’s mission of “Giving our world more smiles.” He emphasised that innovation in healthcare technology can serve as a “bridge of hope,” enabling advanced diagnostics to reach those who need them most.
Abhi Shekhar Singh, vertical head, corporate communications & CSR, added that the film pays tribute to both the resilience of the technology and the dedication of Apollo’s field teams. Inspired by FUJIFILM’s Care on Wheels programme, he felt compelled to document the real-life work being done in challenging conditions. Shot in sub-zero temperatures and thin air, the project came to life with support from CTA Communications and Bad Studios.
Captured on FUJIFILM’s Fujinon Premista Cine Lenses, the film underscores the environmental and logistical challenges of delivering care at high altitudes, while reaffirming FUJIFILM India’s commitment to expanding healthcare access in underserved regions.
