Mondelez Introduces Biscoff Cookies in India Through Partnership with Lotus Bakeries

Mondelez International has officially launched Biscoff cookies in India through a strategic partnership with Belgium-based Lotus Bakeries, marking a major expansion into the country’s premium cookie segment.

The collaboration represents a global first for Lotus Bakeries – allowing Biscoff to be produced locally outside Europe. Mondelez India will oversee manufacturing, marketing and distribution, leveraging its extensive network and strong presence in the Indian snacking market.

Dirk Van de Put, chairman and CEO, Mondelez International, said:

“This collaboration marks an exciting step in strengthening our play in the premium cookie segment. It reflects our commitment to introduce millions of Indians to the Biscoff experience – one that is as unique as it is unforgettable.”

Jan Boone, CEO, Lotus Bakeries, added:

“Our ambition is clear: to make Biscoff the world’s number three cookie and a truly global brand. India is essential to this vision. Partnering with Mondelēz International – with its expertise, passion for excellence and strong market track record – gives us immense confidence.”

Samir Jain, president (India), Mondelez International, noted:

“With our robust distribution network, marketing strength and deep consumer insights, we are excited to make this international favourite a cookie of choice for Indian consumers.”

Mondelez, which owns leading brands such as Cadbury and Oreo, said the partnership reinforces its ‘Make in India’ commitment and supports its wider goal of leading the snacking category across price points, formats and consumption occasions.

Biscoff cookies will be available in five pack sizes, starting at ₹10, across major retail stores and online platforms. Mondelez will also collaborate with hotels, airlines and coffee chains to offer Biscoff with hot beverages, while working with QSR brands to develop Biscoff-flavoured desserts, further expanding the brand’s footprint in India.
