ZEE5 KidZ has announced a major expansion of its children’s content portfolio with the launch of its first original animated series, ‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ and ‘FAB 5’. Rooted in Indian storytelling and cultural values, the new titles are designed to deliver engaging, age-appropriate entertainment for children and family audiences. Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar is set to premiere on 24 December, while FAB 5 will launch soon on the platform.
With this strategic move, ZEE5 aims to build a vibrant and imaginative universe of Indian stories for young viewers. The originals will complement popular titles such as Chhota Bheem and select international IPs, creating a premium and wholesome content offering that balances fun with meaning. Positioned as a safe and trusted space, KidZ ensures children enjoy stories they love while giving parents the confidence of parent-approved viewing.
Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar transports audiences to the village of Himmatpur, where folklore, mythical creatures, and mysterious villains intersect with everyday life. The story follows Chote Tara, a fearless ten-year-old who uncovers secrets tied to an ancient underground realm inspired by Indian legends.
Meanwhile, FAB 5 centres on Anand, a young boy who can merge with his four magical toy companions-each representing unique animal powers-to protect their family amusement park and a hidden mystical world from dark forces.
Both series feature energetic title tracks aimed at instantly capturing young viewers’ attention. To extend engagement beyond screens, KidZ has partnered with Hamleys’ Wonderland to launch a KidZ Experience Zone from 20–31 December, alongside upcoming school outreach programmes in key cities.
