Swiggy has introduced a new Polaroid-style photo feature on its on-demand gifting platform, Giftables, allowing users to add a personal touch to their gift orders. Rolled out as part of Swiggy’s year-end updates, the feature is available at no additional cost and is designed to make quick-commerce gifting more meaningful.

The new option enables users to select an image from their phone gallery, add a short caption and convert it into a Polaroid-style photo. Customers can choose to share the image digitally or have it printed and delivered alongside their selected gift, leveraging Swiggy’s rapid delivery network.

Swiggy co-founder and chief growth officer Phani Kishan showcased the feature by sharing Polaroid-style prints of early moments from the company’s journey, including its first home-office setup and early milestones. In a social media post, he described the prints as simple yet personal keepsakes that capture memories often forgotten in everyday life, positioning them as thoughtful year-end gifts.

The feature was launched ahead of Christmas and New Year, a period marked by high gifting activity on the platform. Giftables, which debuted earlier this year, focuses on instant gifting across a wide range of categories including chocolates, cakes, flowers, electronics, jewellery and toys.

According to Swiggy, the platform offers access to over 30,000 curated gift options, allowing users to bundle multiple items into a single order. In 2025, occasions such as Raksha Bandhan, Friendship Day and Valentine’s Day emerged as some of the most active gifting moments on Giftables.

With deliveries completed in as little as 30 minutes, either to the sender or directly to the recipient, Swiggy continues to expand its quick-commerce-led gifting proposition by blending speed with personalisation.
