Komerz Acquires Glassbox to Strengthen ‘Creative Commerce’ Capabilities

Global commerce platform Komerz has acquired brand and marketing consultancy Glassbox in a move aimed at strengthening its integrated creative commerce model. The acquisition brings together brand strategy, creative development, distribution infrastructure and performance measurement within a single operating ecosystem.

The deal reflects a broader shift in the marketing landscape, where brands are increasingly seeking solutions that combine storytelling, data-driven distribution and measurable commercial outcomes. By integrating Glassbox’s expertise in brand strategy and marketing transformation with Komerz’s AI-powered commerce infrastructure and cross-border distribution network, the combined entity aims to bridge the gap between brand building and direct sales performance.

Together, the companies will operate within what Komerz describes as a “creative commerce” framework. The model connects upper-funnel brand communication with lower-funnel conversion, repeat purchase and channel optimisation, enabling brands to track marketing impact at a transaction level.

The acquisition comes at a time when the global digital commerce market is expanding rapidly. Industry estimates project the market to reach nearly $345 billion in India and about $7 trillion globally by 2030, creating significant opportunities for integrated commerce and marketing platforms.

Founded in 2021 by Geetanjali Bhattacharji and Anil Nair, Glassbox has worked with organisations across brand strategy, marketing transformation and integrated communications. Following the acquisition, the consultancy’s capabilities will be integrated into Komerz’s broader technology-driven commerce ecosystem.

The move also follows Komerz’s earlier acquisition of US-based retail measurement company Pathformance, further strengthening its analytics and performance capabilities as the company continues to expand its presence across global markets.
