Quaker steps into Indian snacking with ₹10 protein ladooz and chikki bites

PepsiCo India has expanded Quaker beyond breakfast with the launch of Quaker Protein Ladooz and Chikki Bites. Available in Rose Dry Fruit Ladooz and Ragi Choco Chikki Bites variants, both are priced at ₹10. Made with oats, the snacks contain 12% protein and high fibre, and are free from artificial flavours and palm oil.

The launch is backed by PepsiCo India’s study, The State of Protein & Fibre in Urban India, conducted with Euromonitor International and IIMR. It found that 70% of respondents consume less than 41g of protein daily, 61% miss their fibre targets, and 60% cite cost as a barrier. Further, 89% of Gen Z, millennial and Gen X respondents want protein in familiar everyday formats.

Saakshi Verma Menon, chief marketing officer – Foods, PepsiCo India, said the launch aims to democratise protein and fibre by combining familiarity, convenience and affordability. Sriram Iyer, marketing director – Quaker, said ladoo and chikki are formats Indians already understand, making them a natural canvas for oats, protein and fibre.

Supporting the launch, Quaker released a TVC set on a college campus. One friend swipes left on snacks that force a choice between taste and nutrition, until her friend introduces her to the range.
