WPP Media India’s BREW 2026 Explores the Rise of the Disruption Economy

WPP Media India hosted the 2026 edition of BREW, its annual content and marketing platform, in Mumbai on May 12, bringing together leaders from advertising, entertainment, technology, and commerce to discuss the rapid shifts reshaping the marketing landscape.

Held under the theme ‘Brewing Disruption: Where Disruption Fuels Creativity’, the event focused on how evolving consumer behaviour, emerging technologies, and changing media habits are influencing the future of brand-building and storytelling.

The conference featured a series of discussions, panels, and demonstrations around topics including artificial intelligence, creator-led content, podcasts, quick commerce, immersive brand experiences, and mobile-first entertainment formats. Sessions also explored trends such as Gen Alpha consumer behaviour, changing platform dynamics, and the growing role of micro-dramas in digital content consumption.

A major highlight of the event was its focus on AI and robotics, including a live humanoid demonstration and conversations around the expanding role of AI-driven marketing solutions.

Speaking at the event, Prasanth Kumar, CEO of WPP Media South Asia, said disruption has become the everyday reality for brands, making it critical for marketers to rethink creativity, commerce, technology, and storytelling in order to remain relevant.

Vinit Karnik, Head – Entertainment, Sports and Content at WPP Media India, added that the industry is currently navigating multiple simultaneous shifts, from creator-led influence and AI-powered storytelling to evolving consumer attention spans and platform behaviours.
