The Bajaj Group has unveiled ‘Kathni Karni Ek Si’, a special film commemorating its 100-year journey and paying tribute to the values of founder Jamnalal Bajaj. Directed by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and created entirely using artificial intelligence, the film blends legacy storytelling with emerging technology to celebrate the group’s Gandhian roots.

The title, ‘Kathni Karni Ek Si’, reflects the philosophy that actions should align with words – a principle deeply associated with Jamnalal Bajaj, freedom fighter, philanthropist, and close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, who famously referred to him as his “fifth son.”
The film imagines Mahatma Gandhi returning to present-day India to witness how the values he once championed continue to shape the Bajaj Group’s businesses a century later. It also features members of the Bajaj family who currently lead several of the group’s businesses.
Speaking about the project, Rajkumar Hirani said the film marked his first experience working entirely with AI technology and described it as a learning journey supported by the trust shown by the Bajaj family and creative agency Wondrlab.
Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, said the film reflects the group’s long-standing commitment to trust, integrity, and purpose-driven growth. Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv, added that the project represents a blend of innovation and values-led storytelling.
The campaign has been conceptualised and executed by Wondrlab India and highlights the growing role of AI in modern creative storytelling and brand communication.
