Opraah has introduced a new payment policy, “OPay: 48 Hour Creator Payments,” committing to pay its exclusive creators within 48 hours of a brand campaign going live, subject to campaign completion and documentation requirements.
The move addresses a persistent pain point in the creator economy, where payout cycles have traditionally stretched across weeks or months. This has become a growing concern as creators increasingly run structured operations, managing teams, editors, and production costs alongside their content work.
Pranav Panpalia, Co-Founder of Opraah, said creators are now running real businesses and shouldn’t have to chase money they’ve already earned, noting that support systems haven’t kept pace with the industry’s evolution.
The 48-hour commitment currently applies only to Opraah’s exclusive creators, with payments triggered once a campaign wraps and internal processing requirements are met.
Mansi Panpalia, Co-Founder, said professional creators deserve professional systems, and that trust with exclusive creators should extend to how their overall experience – including payments – is managed.
The initiative shifts payment risk away from creators, who often absorb delays tied to longer brand or agency payment cycles, and pushes payment infrastructure further into talent management conversations typically centred on deals and representation.
