X has introduced a new feature called “React with Video,” allowing users to respond to posts through recorded video reactions instead of relying solely on reposts or text-based quote posts. Initially available on iOS, the feature is expected to roll out to Android and web users in the coming months.
The new tool aims to make conversations on the platform more expressive by enabling users to share opinions, emotions, and reactions through video. According to X, the feature offers an alternative way to participate in discussions while enhancing engagement across the platform.
X Head of Product Nikita Bier highlighted that commentary remains central to the platform’s identity and that video provides users with a richer medium to communicate their perspectives. The feature is particularly geared toward creators, influencers, and commentators who frequently react to news, trends, and cultural moments.
The launch is part of X’s broader effort to strengthen its creator ecosystem. Recent updates have included Paid Partnership labels, changes to creator monetisation programmes, exclusive subscription features, and experiments with new advertising formats.
As the platform continues to evolve, X is focusing on tools that encourage creator participation and audience engagement. The company also reported growth in its user base, reaching 550 million users in March 2026, up from 520 million users in December 2025.
