TBWA\Lintas, the agency formed after Omnicom’s takeover of IPG, has won a Bronze Lion in the Film Crafts category at Cannes Lions 2026 – the only Bronze or Silver medal for an Indian entrant on day two. The win was for “Don’t Look Up,” created for Steadfast, a maker of money-counting machines.
The film, a dark comedy built around public embarrassment and revenge, follows a note-counter at a counterfeit racket who gets distracted filming two mice instead of doing his job, with consequences that escalate from there. The underlying message: skip the risk, use a Steadfast note counter that reliably detects fakes.
Russell Barrett, Chief Creative Experience Officer at TBWA\Lintas, called it the agency’s first international award and credited the win to Kapil Batra, who wrote the script, noting that a craft award for writing makes the recognition particularly meaningful. He also credited director Raylin Valles and Ducktape Studios for the film’s execution, and praised Vikram Raj, Chairman of Transtronix India, for consistently backing ambitious creative work across his brands, including Steadfast.
India did not pick up a Bronze or Silver in several other categories announced alongside Film Crafts, including Design, Digital Craft, Entertainment, Entertainment for Gaming, Entertainment for Music, Entertainment for Sport, and Industry Craft Lions.
With this Bronze, India’s overall Cannes Lions 2026 tally now stands at five.
