Instamart has tied up with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to launch on-demand LPG cylinder delivery on its quick commerce platform, starting in Bengaluru. The partnership also introduces HPCL’s newly launched HP Navya 10 kg composite LPG cylinder to the app, alongside the standard 5 kg metal cylinder.
The HP Navya composite cylinder is lighter, corrosion-resistant, built with enhanced safety features, and has a translucent body that lets users track gas levels. Notably, an existing domestic LPG connection isn’t required to purchase it, opening access to students, working professionals and smaller households who may not otherwise qualify for a connection.
Customers can place orders directly through the Instamart app by choosing their preferred cylinder. First-time orders are treated as new cylinder purchases and require identity verification along with proof-of-delivery documentation, while refills can be booked by returning the empty HPCL cylinder at the time of delivery. All orders are fulfilled through HPCL’s authorised distributor network and delivered by trained personnel following prescribed safety and regulatory protocols.
Amitesh Jha, CEO of Instamart, said the platform has grown beyond groceries into everyday essentials, and the HPCL tie-up extends that convenience to household LPG needs while upholding safety and reliability standards.
Amit Garg, Director-Marketing at HPCL, said the partnership reflects HPCL’s push to make LPG more accessible through digital-first channels, positioning HP Navya as part of its broader commitment to safety, trust and convenience for a changing customer base, with Instamart offering a fast and reliable route to reach them.
