Apple has revised the pricing of its Apple Music subscription plans in India, increasing rates across Student, Individual and Family tiers. The price hike applies to both new and existing subscribers and also extends to select Apple One bundles.
Under the revised pricing, the Student plan now costs ₹69 per month, up from ₹59, while the Individual plan has increased to ₹139 per month from ₹119. The Family plan, which supports up to six users, now costs ₹229 per month, compared to the earlier ₹179.
Apple has also raised the price of its Apple One Individual subscription to ₹195 per month, up from ₹175, with higher-tier bundles also seeing revised pricing.
The company attributed the increase to rising music licensing costs, saying the revision is part of a broader global pricing update that includes markets such as the US, UK and Europe. Apple has not introduced any new features or additional benefits alongside the revised subscription rates.
This marks Apple Music’s second price increase in India in less than two years and the platform’s first global pricing revision since 2022. In late 2024, Apple had increased the Individual plan from ₹99 to ₹119 per month.
Despite the higher prices, Apple Music continues to offer features such as ad-free streaming, offline downloads, Spatial Audio, Lossless Audio, and access to a catalogue of over 100 million songs. Eligible student subscribers also continue to receive Apple TV+ as part of their subscription.
The latest revision reflects a broader industry trend, with streaming platforms increasingly raising subscription prices as licensing and content costs continue to climb.
